Before you started recording, what’s the worst job you had?
Dish Washer in Copenhagen , they called it "pearldiving", Its a skill that still comes in handy at home though.
Who are some of your favorite artists to listen to?
I Love Arvo Part , Chopin and Ali Akbar Khan. I find I prefer to listen to improvised music or "non pop" music to counteract my job.
What’s the farthest city you toured?
Probably Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Its a 12th century Buddhist monastery and really far away from anything I grew up with!
What was your most embarrassing moment on stage?
Mostly in my "Bad Gig" dreams where i get to a show and there are no strings on my guitar, or the band is starting and i am still unpacking my gear. It was hard playing "time after time" with Cyndi Lauper in the Buddokan in Tokyo when the guitar tech tuned her Dulcimer a step lower than usual!
What’s your favorite city to tour?
i love touring in European cities like Paris and Prague. it still seems glamorous ...
Do you have any unusual stories from the road?
Touring is always unusual, you just never know what will happen, sometimes good, flying in a private jet to a festival in Norway and being back in Brussels for dinner, or sometimes bad, like the tour bus catches fire ...!
Do you have any hobbies?
when i am home i love to fix up my old house and chop wood with my log
splitter. I like building things and fixing things, and things break and fall down alot.
What’s the hardest thing about touring?
Packing, always packing.
