Originally from Reno, Nevada, Whitton comes from a very musical family of eight and has been singing, writing and performing since the age of six. She has recorded four full-length albums with acclaimed producers David Hauser (Redbone, Supreme Beings of Leisure), Kevin White (writer for Billy Ray Cyrus), Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Dishwalla) and Ian Coyne. Whitton has won numerous awards including "Best Female Acoustic Rock Artist" by the New York Music Festival, "Best Song" in the Searchlight Songwriting Competition and was nominated for "Best Acoustic Artist" in the Star Music Awards. Recently, her current album "Rare Bird" was nominated for "BEST POP ALBUM" by the "Independent Music Awards". Whitton celebrates seven TV/film placements this year, such as "She Wants Me" (starring Charlie Sheen, Hilary Duff), "Meth Head" (starring Lukas Haas, Wilson Cruz), indie horror film, "Among Friends", "The 5th Quarter" (starring Aidan Quinn, Andie MacDowell), "Exit Strategy" (Big Boy from KPWR Power 106, Kevin Hart), Delta Air Lines' and a national Valentine's commercial for "Gossip Girl". Whitton also has had the honor of recording as a back-up vocalist on the soundtrack of Showtime's Emmy-Nominated hit series "Dexter". With the spirit of a gypsy and the discipline of a soldier, Whitton continues to write, record and tour to serve both her music and ever-growing fan base. Currently, John Avila (bassist from Oingo Boingo and producer for "Reel Big Fish") are in the process of recording future tracks for her next album.
