Born in São Paulo, Ferriani began her artistic career in 2004, performing alongside some of the country’s musical giants (Ivan Lins, Beth Carvalho, Mart’nália, Spokfrevo Orchestra) at the most respected venues in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador. Ferriani received one of the highest honors in the world of samba, opening for two of Rio’s most famous samba schools’ Chiefs, Mangueira and Portela. From the start, Ferriani has gathered a faithful audience of all ages, as her standout style evidences the rhythm and lyricism that make Brazilian music so highly regarded worldwide.
The artist’s repertoire comes from her 2009 debut album “Verônica Ferriani”. Carefully selected and honed from Brazil’s popular musical history, her programs include both new songs and hidden treasures from well known composers such as Gonzaguinha, Marcos Valle, João Donato and Paulinho da Viola. Her renditions are unique and distinctive, soaked in modern grooves and textures. Complementing the set list are songs by Gilberto Gil and the artist herself, as well as music from gifted composers of the new generation. Brass, two percussionists, and a Fender Rhodes accompany her on stage to provide for wonderful chemistry and synergy. These shows are not to be missed.
