Jon Bell

Jon Bell is a composer/arranger/song-writer based out of Brooklyn, New York.

His debut album What do you hear, What do you say, which was independently recorded and produced, draws influence from the music of Sufjan Stevens, Bright Eyes, Damien Rice, Death Cab and the like. Recording all the parts himself, Jon spent one winter in early 2010 laying down the base tracks for the album in his parent's basement; finishing it later in his dorm room during his last semester of college. The result is an honest sound, that is sure to keep you hanging on every word.

Jon studied music at both Penn State University and NYU, currently writes for several artists/producers/chamber groups in New York City, and acts as an assistant conductor for an orchestra in Manhattan.
