"Magic every time they step on stage." -Wildy's World

The Sound: if Stevie Nicks and Emily Dickinson turned Neko Case, Vampire Weekend and The Carter Family into a chamber pop trio and had them play at their party.

The Band:
Jessie Murphy (lead vocals and guitar)

Marcia Wood (Wurlitzer, flute, clarinet, harmonica, pan pipes and vocals)

Amy Wood (horn, cajon/percussion, flute, melodica, autoharp and vocals).

The girls have toured the UK (and featured on Cambridge University Radio) and have played shows from Ithaca NY to Los Angeles.

They met at Columbia University, where they were each working on a Masters Degree in Music Education.

The Album, Eight Belles:
Is a Woodsy Bedtime Story about a lonely little girl riding a big brown horse on a crisp autumn day, who in time will spend the rest of her life trying to recapture that precise moment. That sentiment is the theme in “When I Am A Horse Again.” The final and title track, 8 Belles, is a eulogy to the filly who died on the racetrack during 2008’s Kentucky Derby. In between are nine other songs about life, love, and horses.
