About Jenni Muldaur

Jenni, the daughter of Geoff and Maria Muldaur, grew up immersed in music. Her parents both played a vital part in the ‘60’s folk revival and created some of the most successful and aesthetically powerful music that developed from it. Jenni began singing professionally in her early teen years, providing backing vocals on a number of her father’s albums. In 1992 Jenni signed to Warner Brothers and released her eponymous debut album. Jenni has been in constant demand as a singer for recordings and tours with Eric Clapton, Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald, Meatloaf, Todd Rundgren, John Cale, Rufus Wainwright, Jazz Passengers, and Linda Thompson, among many, many others. During the past year she has toured with Lou Reed and David Byrne. Jenni founded the Dandelion Music production company, primarily for her highly successful commercial music placements, and serves as its Executive Producer and Creative Director. Dearest Darlin’ is the first release on Dandelion Music.

Sultry chanteuse Jenni Muldaur releases album of vintage soul and jump blues. Singer Jenni Muldaur is releasing a full-length album titled Dearest Darlin’. She worked with producers Steve Rosenthal (Ollabelle, Lou Reed, Suzanne Vega) and Don Fleming (Sonic Youth, Teenage Fanclub, Nancy Sinatra) at the Magic Shop studios in NYC. On her new album Jenni tackles vintage neo-soul, jump blues and other rare gems (the title track is a Bo Diddley tune) that she grew up with and still dearly loves; it’s earthy, sensual and “good to dance to!”

About Dearest Darlin’

The sessions for Dearest Darlin’ took place with the band gathered in one room playing together live, with minimal overdubbing. The core band is Sean Costello - guitar (Susan Tedeschi, Blind Boys of Alabama); Brian Jackson - keyboards (Gil Scott-Heron); Brad Jones- bass (Jazz Passengers); Lenny Pickett - saxophone (Tower of Power, SNL Band); and James Wormworth - drums (Conan O’Brien Tonight Show Band). The recordings are one of the final sessions of renowned blues guitarist Sean Costello, who tragically died last year at the age of 28. Featured guest include Jim Campilongo - guitar (Norah Jones, Martha Wainwright); Barry Reynolds - guitar (Marianne Faithful, Grace Jones); and singers Teddy Thompson, Catherine Russell and Joseph Arthur.
