Since its out-set on the Dublin songwriter circuit, the band’s poetic lyrics and soaring pop melodies have found cult following in both the UK and the US. Songs from the band’s 2005 self-released debut album, Waltzing Alone, have been featured on the primetime TV shows One Tree Hill and Brothers And Sisters, and in April of 2007, the album’s opening track “Philosophia” was chosen as the iTunes Free Single of the Week, Waltzing Alone for weeks after remaining the number-one downloaded folk album on iTunes. Happy The Man, the Guggenheim Grotto’s latest record from UFO Music, made its digital debut at No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Folk Chart in October of 2008. The mix features the band’s signature multi-instrumental pop-folk, blended with sampling and electronic techniques.
