Caroline Jones

Caroline Jones is a New York City based singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer. Trained classically by Andy Anselmo, Founder of New York’s The Singer’s Forum, Caroline began singing opera arias, cabaret standards and show tunes at age nine. Her influences range from Son House and Ella Fitzgerald to Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan and Jewel. In 2007 as a sophomore in high school, Caroline transferred to the Professional Children’s School in New York City. Under the management of Tommy Mottola and Chris Apostle, she began recording her original songs with producer Chris Toland at Sony and Avatar studios in New York. In 2008, she began monthly co-writing trips to Nashville. Under the guidance of Laura and James Stroud, Caroline worked in the studio with talents such as Anthony Smith, Greg Barnhill, Stephony Smith, Lisa Carver, and Shelly Fairchild.
Caroline matriculated at New York University in 2009. She spent 2010 writing, performing and producing over 45 original songs at Avatar Studios in New York City. In April 2010, Caroline opened for Patti Smith at a benefit for American Folk Art Museum. Caroline performs throughout the New York area at venues such as the Singer’s Forum, Julliard, Madison Square Garden, Lincoln Center, New World Stages, Bar East, Georgetown Saloon, Canisius College, The Bitter End, Space 43, Arlene’s Grocery, The Living Room, and Bowery Wine Co. She has been selected on Women of Substance Radio, iRadio LA, and New Music Tampa Bay Podcast Radio. She earned a semifinalist spot in the 2010 100% Music Songwriting Competition. Caroline recently launched an interactive music site www.carolinejones.com, which, in addition to her music features The Clean Dirt Club, an online platform and community for artists.
