Brandi Shearer

Growing up on a small farm in Oregon, when she was eight, Brandi Shearer began to practice the guitar her father had given he r. Studying classical guitar and voice as a teenager, Brandi earned a scholarship to study opera at a local college giving her the opportunity to study abroad in Hungary. In Europe, she became familiar with music by American Blues and Jazz greats like Billie Holiday, helping her to find her own voice. Brandi left college to play for audiences in small clubs across Europe and returned to the states ready to pursue her musical career. Performing Songwriter says “Shearer combines modern freshness with old-school attention to quality and the results are spectacular.” Her music has been featured in film and on television shows, including Weeds, intervention and Dexter.
