Andres Quintero is an independent recording artist living in Brooklyn, New York. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Andres moved to the U.S when he was 12, living in Denver until 2007. Eventually he made his way over to New York and studied at the American Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts. After having toured and performed all around the country for two years he relocated back to New York City to work on his music career.
Andres has been singing since he was 15, and records all his music in both English and Spanish. His father once said to him, “Andres, don’t think of yourself as a citizen of Venezuela or the United States… be a citizen of the world”. Taking his father’s words to heart, Andres has found that the best way to be a “citizen of the world” is through the universal language of music.
Andres’ musical influences range from American artists like John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Gavin Degraw and Donny Hathaway to Latin American artists such as Marc Anthony and Luis Fonsi. His music is about love, heartbreak, the search for life’s answers, and the struggle for social change.
